Reformulary Group announces partnership with Data Fabric platform Cinchy

New partnership will accelerate the way Reformulary connects its vast data sources across the prescription drug journey

Toronto, October 16, 2020 — Reformulary Group, a Canadian healthcare company, announced today that it has entered in a partnership with Cinchy to advance the management and collection of its data.

Reformulary is pleased to join 5 of the 6 major banks in Canada, along with several other prominent organizations, in partnering with Cinchy. Cinchy is a data collaboration platform that uses Data Fabric technology to help organizations – including Reformulary Group – to connect unlimited data sources within a networked architecture.

Based on Reformulary’s origins in the prescription drug and healthcare space – with brands such as The Reformulary®, DrugFinder™, DEW™ System, and RePort – Reformulary Group has significant data assets throughout the journey that a drug takes from applying for regulatory approval through to coverage by plans, to real-world use by patients. Reformulary’s newly launched Cannabis Standard™ platform will add further data assets, notably patient-reported data related to medical cannabis use and its Index that categorizes cannabis products.

“The Cinchy autonomous Data Fabric will enable us to separate our data from the applications that create it,” said Helen Stevenson, Founder and CEO of Reformulary Group. “This is a huge step forward for us. Our team will be able to leverage what’s already on the fabric, becoming more efficient as we add and connect more data sources. Further, the Data Fabric will ensure that the systems and platforms that we integrate with can remain autonomous while following robust data privacy and security policies to ensure that the right people have access to the right information.”

“We’re incredibly excited to partner with Reformulary Group and expand the role of Data Fabric in Canada’s healthcare industry,” said Dan DeMers, CEO of Cinchy. “The benefits of plasticity and collaborative intelligence from our Autonomous Data Fabric will transform the way they collect and manage data, and the personal information of 13.5 million Canadians will become more secure and easier to control than ever before.”
