The Halifax-based Canadian Centre for Vaccinology is looking for volunteer participants for several trials of Canadian-made COVID-19 vaccines. Three are currently underway and an additional one will launch soon. Sites will span the country, but Halifax will be the main site for at least two of the trials. The three currently underway include candidates from Medicago, VIDO-InterVac and VBI. At this stage, the number of participants needed is in the hundreds to one thousand, but if these trials go well and the candidates advance to late stage trials, tens of thousands of participants globally will be needed.
