Vancouver company’s anti-COVID-19 nasal spray to start clinical trials in UK
Vancouver-based saNOtize’s nasal spray is accelerating into clinical trials, with plans to start one in the UK with patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 and approval to launch another in the United States. The nitric oxide spray is thought to prevent COVID-19 from spreading throughout the bodies of infected people, and perhaps even prevent infection altogether. An earlier trial was conducted in Canada where out of 100 people who used the spray, none contracted the virus.
