‘V-Day’ in Britain: 90-year-old woman gets first injection of vaccine for COVID-19
A 90-year old woman named Margaret Keenan in Coventry, England has become the first member of the British public to receive a COVID-19 vaccine outside of clinical trials. Britain was the first country to approve the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine candidate last week. The country has ordered 40 million doses of this particular vaccine, enough for 20 million people.
