The United States Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine, making it the third vaccine approved in that country alongside Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna. Those vaccines are administered as two doses, while the newly approved J&J vaccine only requires a single dose.
