‘Too early’ to say when Johnson & Johnson shots will arrive, minister says
Canada’s Minister of Public Services & Procurement confirmed that the country will be ready to use a COVID-19 vaccine from Johnson & Johnson as soon as it is approved, but details remain to be determined with respect to how many doses the country will immediately receive. Canada has ordered 10 million doses of the vaccine with options for up to 28 million more. The vaccine is pending regulatory approval in Canada, and in the U.S. a committee of the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) will be meeting Friday, February 26 to consider evidence. In the past, approval of vaccines in the U.S. and Canada has closely followed that step.
