Ontario to begin reopening Friday as 3rd wave of COVID-19 recedes

Three days ahead of schedule, on Friday June 11th, Ontario is set to step into the first phase of its reopening plan, the Roadmap to Reopen. This first phase allows patio dining with up to 4 people, non-essential retail to open at 15% capacity, and outdoor religious services, to cite a few examples. With over 72% of adults having had at least one shot, Ontario’s third wave is receding. These efforts also coincide with the expansion of eligibility for second dose bookings through the provincial system. Over 10 million doses have been administered so far, and over 1 million people are now fully vaccinated.
