Johnson & Johnson is seeking approval to initiate a bridging study of its single shot COVID-19 vaccine in India. Bridging studies aim to demonstrate that conclusions from a clinical trial in another jurisdiction hold true in a new location. India has eased rules requiring that foreign-made vaccines conduct local clinical trials in the face of a punishing resurgence of COVID-19.
