Moderna has vaccinated the first participants in a trial of its COVID-19 vaccine for children between 6 months and 11 years of age. Approximately 6,750 total participants will be enrolled across the United States and Canada. The trial will contain two parts, with the first part testing varying dosages and the second part comparing the preferred dose against placebo over a 12-month follow up period.
