EU regulator is considering Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine
The European Medicines Agency is reviewing data from the COVID-19 vaccine developed jointly by the University of Oxford and AstraZeneca, hoping for late January approval if the candidate meets regulators’ standards. The vaccine is already approved and in use in the UK, though researchers are hoping for more data on its efficacy in older people. The United States and Canada are both waiting for further data before considering approval.
