Children as young as 6 months old now in COVID-19 vaccine trials
Vaccine makers Pfizer and Moderna are in the process of trialing their respective COVID-19 vaccines in youth under 12 in the United States, a measure that could greatly increase the number of Americans eligible for vaccination if approved. Pfizer’s trial seeks 5,000 children and is being run out of Stanford Hospital. Infants as young as 6 months old are eligible to participate with parental consent.
