Canada secures ultra-cold freezers for Pfizer, Moderna COVID vaccines
Canada has taken a step forward in its efforts to manage the logistics of widespread COVID-19 vaccine distribution across the country, securing two contracts that will deliver 26 freezer units capable of storing materials up to -80 Celsius and 100 units capable of storing at -20 Celsius. The extreme cold storage is a requirement of several vaccine candidates in the late stages of trials. Canada has total freezer capacity, including these new deals, for 33.5 million vaccines.
