Health Canada continues to recommend the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine despite concerns raised by the US Institute for Allergies and Infectious Diseases about the completeness of the data of the latest trial that was submitted by the manufacturer. AstraZeneca is in the process of providing updated data to American regulators, which Canada will also review, but Health Canada’s underlying view has not changed.
